Laser Tattoo Removal

How does it work?

The mechanical Q-Switched effect works by breaking down the ink particles in the tattoo. As the area heals, the body's immune system flushes away the shattered ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade with minimal risk of scarring or hypopigmentation.

How many sessions will it take?

There are many factors that contribute to how many sessions a client may need to fade or completely remove a tattoo. It can take anywhere from 6-18 sessions to remove a tattoo. The quantity and quality of the ink, how old the tattoo is, where it is located, and skin type play a part. There is no guarantee for how long it will take, or if your body will allow full removal.

Is it painful?

It's a common belief that tattoo removal is excruciating, yet most patients say that the sensation of removal is comparable to having a tattoo applied. A local anesthetic can be used to help minimize the discomfort. The treatment doesn’t take long, so any discomfort is short lived. That said, many say that it hurts less than they expected.

How long in between sessions?

6 - 12 Weeks. The longer you wait in between your sessions the more your tattoo will fade.

What Is The Downtime After Treatment?

Laser tattoo removal does not come with extensive downtime. While each treatment may lead to minor swelling and redness, the downtime is typically less than five days. This is great news if you lead a busy lifestyle and cannot take much time off due to work and/or family obligations.
