Joe Rossi, a long-time Human Resource professional in the Rogue Valley, is now the Southern Oregon Area Manager for Barrett Business Services, Inc. (BBSI).

Joe possesses a unique combination of work experience that enables him to effectively examine how business strategic objectives align with workforce management tactical measures to create business profitability and stability through proactive employee engagement and customer support. Joe has held previous Human Resource, Marketing, and Business Management positions within several industry sectors, including Air Transportation, Retail Automotive, Aerospace, Semiconductors, and Health Care. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Administration from the University of Southern California, Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate from the HR Certification Institute in Washington D.C.

John Underwood, SHRM-SCP, is President and CEO of HR Dynamics, an Oregon-based HR consulting firm which offers full spectrum human resource support to small and medium sized businesses. Prior to starting HR Dynamics, John was the Southern Oregon Region HR Manager for Timber Products Company. John’s HR experience has been developed in the manufacturing world in both union and non-union operations. He is well known for his speaking engagements where he mixes humor with facts and data to generate unique learning experiences for his audiences. John is also the managing partner, with his wife, Dixie, in a regional drug screen policy, advocacy and collections enterprise, Job Site Drug Screens, LLC.

Cj Shipley is licensed in all lines of insurance but has dedicated the last two decades of her career to workers' compensation with a specialty in Enterprise Risk Management. She is passionate about keeping an employer's biggest asset - their employees safe. Her clients have heard her say a number of times "your employees came to work on purpose, don't let them leave by accident". CJ is recognized by the State of Oregon as a licensed property, casualty, worker's compensation, life, health, and personal lines incurance agent. She was also appointed as a licensed risk management consultant by the State of Oregon in 2010.

Workers' Compensation Insurance is a vital component of all modern business, protecting one of a business' most vital assets, it's employees. David Jordan and Katie Raikes will bring to bear their combined experience in a session to provide an overview of the Oregon Worker’s Compensation System, development of premium; as well as wisdom and strategies for controlling Worker’s Compensation Insurance costs.

David Jordan is the Regional operations Director for SAIF Corporation's Southern Region. David has worked for SAIF Corporation for the past 30 years including as a Claims Adjuster, RTW consultant, Group Risk Manager, and Senior Account Representative.

David has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Western Oregon University, Master in Management from Southern Oregon University, and holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.

Katie Raikes is the Southern Region Senior Account Representative with SAIF Corporation. Katie has worked for SAIF Corporation for 5 years, including work as a Claim's Adjuster and Senior Account Representatvie in both the Northern and Souther Oregon regions. She is an active member in SAIF's Diversity and Inclusion Team.

Katie has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Southern Oregon university. She also maintains her certification for Claims Adjusting and an insurance license for Casualty and Property lines.
