Employer FAQ

Q: Must I schedule an appointment for my employee to be seen for an on the job injury or illness?
A:
No. Valley Immediate Care operates on a walk-in basis. After the initial visit, we will schedule follow-up appointments for your employee to ensure that their care and rehabilitation is managed in a thorough and organized manner.

Q: What is the difference between a DOT and Non-DOT drug screen?
A:
A DOT drug screen is federally regulated, and is required of all CDL holding drivers. To be considered a valid test it also requires the approval of a medical review officer (MRO), who evaluates all results, both positive and negative.

A Non-DOT drug screen can be identical to testing completed under DOT requirements, but on a non-federal drug testing form. Tests of this nature only require the approval of an MRO if a positive result appears.

Q: How can I ensure that I will be updated throughout my employees treatment, and safety requirements be met for my organization?
A:
Valley Immediate Care can create a custom protocol for your organization that includes drug screen information and requirements, reporting methods, and direction as to the most effective method of keeping you informed of your employees health and work status. We are also able to help you create modified job descriptions, and enjoy visiting job-sites to better understand the tasks and responsibilities of our patients. To establish a protocol, or schedule a tour, please contact Holly Sutton at (541) 734-9030, extension 511.
